SURGICAL PREPAYMENT

Perkins 1st Assistants, Inc. is out-of-network with all medical insurance plans in Texas. A prepayment for surgical assisting services is required prior to your procedure. This prepayment is similar to a deposit that may also be required by your surgeon, surgical facility, or anesthesiologist.

If you have been contacted by our billing company or received a notice regarding surgical assisting in your pre-operative paperwork from your physician’s office, your surgeon has requested that a Perkins 1st Assistants, Inc. surgical assistant participate in your procedure.

A surgical assistant may be necessary due to the complexity of your procedure and/or may be required by the surgical facility where your procedure will be performed.

Following your procedure, Perkins 1st Assistants, Inc. will submit a claim to your insurance company for the surgical assisting services provided. Please understand that because we are an out-of-network provider, your insurance plan may process the claim according to its out-of-network benefits, which may result in a different reimbursement amount.
